About Anne Marie

Anne Marie is a retired federal program analyst, with a Master's degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. She began teaching adult classes--primarily in religion and spiritual development--over 25 years ago. She began studies in the mind-body connection when she became ill with a disabling illness over 15 years ago. She subsequently studied a variety of energy healing modalities and began teaching holistic classes over 7 years ago.

Anne Marie was introduced to Brain Gym in 1998 by an acupuncturist who used PACE, a basic set of four exercises, to support her treatments. In 2000, an opportunity to study Brain Gym more extensively serendipitously presented itself, so she began formal studies in Brain Gym and Educational Kinesiology. During the course of her studies in Brain Gym and Educational Kinesiology, she learned that even high achievers can have subtle learning challenges which can make life more effortful and impair the learning of new behaviors. Could this be a reason why so many people who hunger to meet their potential or achieve goals which are important to them cannot seem to get there? To answer this question became a part of Anne Marie's quest from then on.

During subsequent repatternings and Brain Gym balances, Anne Marie found life to get easier and easier! It almost seemed that she became smarter as well--because things that used to be difficult became much more easy. People commented on it and wanted what she had.

Anne Marie has learned how to help the body, mind and spirit, and that has made all the difference.

Movement is Key--And it's Fun

Sunday afternoons, you may find Anne Marie enjoying nature in the abundant woods around Washington, D.C. Many Friday nights you can meet Anne Marie contra dancing at Glen Echo Park in Maryland. They say that dancing can help your brain, and the key to that is the movement.

As for other ways to "move", there are the trips to New York City to visit her three young grandchildren . . . . It's fun to watch their brains and bodies develop, plus they keep her young running after them.

Paul Dennison, the founder of Brain Gym, says that movement is the doorway to learning. Anne Marie agrees! She has come to understand that "learning" is not simply about the ability to recite facts and figures (and even theology). Real learning takes place when this information becomes a part of you, and helps you "move" about your daily life-or even into the next place in life.
